Instructions on submitting articles

All members may submit their own articles for consideration of  inclusion on the website by the editor. The decision of the editor is final.

Approved articles must be relevant and of interest to the village community and conform to our site use policy. By submitting an article you are granting permission for Cottingham Village Website to publish your material as it see's fit. It you want to remove the article you must request the editor to do this in writing.

The editor has created several categories/sections for articles but you can request a new sub-category by emailing admin@cottinghamuk.co.uk.

You may include pictures and links in your articles. To add an article:

1) Login or register as a member
2) Select SUBMIT ARTICLE from the menu
3) Select a category for your article then fill in the boxes with your details and copywright info. Give a brief summary and then write your article using the HTML editor provided - TIP: YOU CAN PASTE IN FROM A WORD DOCUMENT
4) Press the submit button
5) Await approval from the article. If approved by the editor you article will be published.
6) Thats' it! - Your article is online for over 18,000 villagers and Cotta's worldwide to see.
